Sony Calls PS5 ” World’s Fastest Console” In Job Listing | Ghost of Tsushima Launching Late 2020

Recently Sony posted a job listing where they called their upcoming next-gen console, the PS5, the “worlds fastest console”. This caught the attention of a lot of gaming media outlets and Sony has since updated the listing and removed this statement. Let’s talk about it.

We also learned yesterday that Upcoming PS4 exclusive The Last of Us Part 2 has been delayed from February 21st 2020 to May 29th 2020. Many fans are now wondering what this means for Ghost of Tsushima and Kotaku’s Jason Schreier gave us an update on the game claiming it also is being delayed internally and will launch in late 2020. Will it launch alongside the PS5, or before?

What is “Ghost of Tsushima,” and what is the new launch date for the game?

Sony has recently ignited the gaming community with two exciting updates regarding its upcoming console, PlayStation 5. The Japanese tech giant has claimed the PS5 to be the “world’s fastest console” and has also revealed the launch date for “Ghost of Tsushima,” a much-awaited PlayStation exclusive game.

The news about the PS5 surfaced in a job listing posted by Sony on LinkedIn. The job description was for a Senior Cloud Engineering Manager, and the company stated that they are looking for a person who can help deliver a “next-generation game console.” In the listing, Sony boasted that the upcoming console will be the “world’s fastest console,” which undoubtedly hyped up the gamers.

Although Sony has yet to reveal the exact specifications of the PS5, the statement has generated a lot of excitement and anticipation amongst gamers worldwide. Adding fuel to the fire, a few days after the LinkedIn update, Sony showcased the console’s capabilities in a tech demo, which featured faster loading times and improved graphics.

Besides the PS5, Sony also announced the launch date for its highly anticipated game, “Ghost of Tsushima.” Sucker Punch Productions developed the game as a PlayStation exclusive. The game is set in the 13th century, in the era of the Mongol invasion of Japan, and will feature an open-world exploration gameplay. The developers have stated that they have aimed to create an “authentic samurai experience” for the players.

The game was initially scheduled to release in June 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed. Sony recently announced that the game would now be launching on July 17th, 2020, exclusively for the PlayStation 4 console. The game will undoubtedly be a treat for the PlayStation 4 owners, as they wait for the arrival of the PS5.

With two exciting updates, Sony has kept the gaming community on the edge of its seat. The launch of the PS5 is one of the most awaited events in the gaming world, and Sony’s statement about the console being the “world’s fastest” has only added to the hype. The announcement of the new launch date for “Ghost of Tsushima” will keep the PlayStation 4 owners engaged until the release of PS5. Although the exact specifications of the PS5 are yet to be announced, one thing is for sure – the buzz and excitement around it are real. Can it live up to the hype? Only time will tell.
